Steering Committee Meeting - 8/9/22

On August 9th, Kleinfelder completed the Alternatives Analysis Screening Task of the King’s Beach Water Quality Engineering Study and presented the findings to the Engineering Steering Committee. After development of conceptual design and costs, they applied screening criteria, incorporated steering committee input on the appropriate weights for those criteria, consulted with regulators, vendors, and area scientists, and ultimately ranked the six original alternatives. Based on these efforts, they recommend that two Alternatives are evaluated further, UV Disinfection (Alternative 4), and Outfall Extension (Alternative 5).
